post Jack Johnson - Sleep through the static (single)

The worst thing about Jack Johnson is the do gooding peace and love vibes of his music, no doubt brought on by lethargy due to smoking too much spliff and inhaling too much salty air while being a bum knocking around beaches and recording dull albums by solar power, the second worst thing are his fans.

Through looking for an answer to why people like this guff, I’ve asked many friends who all profess to finding something good in his idea of music and they all come up with the same reason; travelling.

Apparently travelling opens up the mind to this kind of chilled music which engenders a feeling of satisfaction providing the perfect backing to sitting on a beach in some idyllic part of the world without a trouble in sight which is odd because this single, the title track from his latest world saving long player, sounds like earth saving acoustic nonsense to these ears.

Well, for one who hasn’t been travelling yet, this ethos of their fans is a perfect reason to stick to occasional summer breaks in Milton Keynes where you don’t have to submit to this toss, get a shave, haircut and a job you f**king hippies.
